This is the image taken in a shop. Most of the magazines are positioned in a row. Its hard to see where the music magazines are but I think they're in the middle row on the right. I think the magazine for celebrities are on top and magazines for toys are at the bottom. i can see that the popular magazine such as 'Glamour' or 'Elle'  are in the centre and all other companies are on the sides.

Preliminary Task Finished School Magazine

For this magazine cover, I tried to make it as simple as i could so it wouldn't look too busy which might not standout. In fonts I've used some different fonts e.g. with story features on the side, i've used some bold fonts and some fancy so the the covers eye-catch to the audience. I've added a logo of a school and the image of students from that school so it matches with each other. also i've contrasts the colours as well with the logo. I've also added a barcode with date and issue number so people would know when it has been issue also with help the shop member when selling the magazine. I also have a slogan underneath the masthead with the same colour and same font. and i have the price of magazine as well which will help the audience when buying the magazine.

From my existing research into different magazines I've found out where to put the barcode, slogan and key features. I've chosen this title because I think it targets the audience. The direct address at the bottom gives audience sense of intimacy. I've used those colours because they goes well with the logo and they are bright which might gets audience attention and standout on the blank background. from those magazines covers I've also knew where to out the issue date and the price of the magazine. I also have slogan which is a school slogan.
